Farmland and Open Space Preservation Board (FOSP):
The Dexter Township Farmland and Open Space Preservation Board (FOSP Board) is seeking membership for a regular appointment. Specific objectives of the FOSP Board include acting as a conduit between Dexter Township residents and the Board of Trustees regarding community needs and expectations related to land preservation, advising the Township Board on land preservation policies and programs, exploring land preservation funding options, and supporting special projects and collaborations between landowners and available land preservation programs. The FOSP Board is a 3-year term, however this particular position will go until the end of 2025 (12/31/2025) and will carry an option for an appointment renewal. the FOSP Board meets at Dexter Township Hall (6880 Dexter-Pickney Rd, Dexter) on the first Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm. Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express Board (WAVE):
The WAVE Board is seeking membership for a Dexter Township representative. The WAVE Board oversees the organization’s operations and strategic direction. Topics of discussion include service operations, financial oversight, and community engagement. The WAVE Board currently meets monthly on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 9:30am to 11:00am at Scio Township Hall (827 N. Zeeb Rd., Ann Arbor) and the option for joining the meetings via ZOOM is an option. New WAVE Board members will have an onboarding session with Marie Gress, WAVE’s Executive Director, to get caught up on financials, recent discussions, WAVE services offered, etc. The appointment term for the WAVE Board would be 3 years, with the opportunity for an appointment renewal.
