Board members serve a two-year term and participate in annual meetings, including the March, July, and December Board of Review sessions and additional meetings as needed.

Environmental Stewardship Committee
Dexter Township is seeking residents interested in serving on the Environmental Stewardship Committee, an advisory body charged with helping implement the environmental goals outlined in the Township’s Strategic Plan and Master Plan. In addition, residents are encouraged to serve on one of the Township’s environmental subcommittees, which focus on Decarbonization and Resilience, Waste and Recycling, and Land Use and Natural Resources. Residents who are passionate about preserving and enhancing the Township’s natural resources and character are encouraged to apply and help shape the community’s environmental future!

Committee members will work together to develop recommendations related to environmental stewardship initiatives, including the protection of waterways, waste reduction and sustainability, community education, and energy efficiency. The committee and subcommittees will also help shape public education and outreach effort and provide recommendations to the Township Board on future environmental priorities.

The committee will meet at least quarterly and members will serve a two-year term with initial appointments staggered to ensure continuity.
