AGENDA
1. Public Hearings: Public hearing to amend the Zoning Ordinance to define and allow Short-Term Rentals (STRs) as a permitted use in specified zoning districts, to reference applicable STR regulations, and to establish related parking and permitting standards [Article 4, Sections 2.02, 5.03, 6.03, 7.03, 10.03, 13.03, Table 18.1, and Table 25.1, and to add Section 17.04(T)] OR to define STRs and allow STRs in compliance with the regulations established for Bed and Breakfasts [Section 2.02 and Section 17.04 (K)].

1. Recommendation to Township Board on proposed Zoning Ordinance Amendments regarding Short-Term Rentals (STRs).
2. Recommendation to Township Board on proposed General Ordinance No. 45 Short-Term Rental Regulation to define and allow Short-Term Rentals (STRs), and to establish permitting standards.

Draft zoning ordinance amendments may be viewed at the Dexter Township Hall during business hours (8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Mon.–Thurs., excluding holidays). Information will also be available on the Planning Commission page of the Township’s website: https://www.dextertownshipmi.gov/planning-commission/ seven to ten days prior to the public hearing date.
Members of the public are welcome to attend the public hearing in person or by counsel to express their views on the proposed amendments. Written comments should be addressed to the Planning Commission, 6880 Dexter-Pinckney Road, Dexter, MI 48130, or sent via email to the Director of Planning and Zoning at dpz@dextertownshipmi.gov. All correspondence must be received by 12:00 PM (noon) on the public hearing date.
