If I Submitted My Ballot, Can I Change My Vote?

If you have already voted absentee by tabulation at an early voting site or an Election Day polling location, your vote cannot be changed.

If you completed and submitted your ballot by mail, in person, or via drop box, you have the option to change your vote by spoiling your original ballot and requesting a new one. You can spoil your ballot if you made a mistake, a candidate you voted for dropped out of the race, or for any other reason.

If you returned your mail in ballot (absentee) ballot: Submit a written, signed request to the Clerk asking them to spoil your ballot and send you a new one before 5:00pm on Friday, July 24.

If you filled in your mail in (absentee) ballot and still have it: Submit a written, signed request to the Clerk by 5:00pm on Friday, July 31, asking them to send you a new one by mail. You can also spoil and receive a new ballot in person at the Township Office until 4:00pm the day before the election.
