Free Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector Installation Available Through the Dexter Area Fire Department (DAFD)

The Dexter Area Fire Department (DAFD) offers free installation of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for residents in the community. These devices are critical for early warning in the event of a fire or carbon monoxide emergency and can help protect lives and property.

Residents who would like more information regarding installing these devices in their home can contact the Dexter Area Fire Department directly. Due to scheduling and tracking purposes, email is the preferred method of contact.

DAFD also offers several community safety training opportunities:

CPR, First Aid, and AED Training: Residents interested in learning life-saving emergency response skills can participate in training offered by the fire department.

Fire Extinguisher Training: The department also offers fire extinguisher training classes, which are currently free of charge.
