We want to hear your thoughts about short-term rentals. A short-term rental (STR) is the rental of a home or unit for up to 30 consecutive days (this does not include hotels, motels, or beds and breakfasts). Currently, short-term rentals are not permitted under Dexter Township’s zoning ordinance. In 2024, a request was made to change the ordinance to allow short-term rentals. Before deciding, the Planning Commission wants community feedback on potential benefits, drawbacks, and possible regulations.
